“I regularly look at transformation pictures online and wonder how they did that or that I wish I could be like those people who magically transformed.

Then I remember that it never shows the bit in-between, all the hard work, tears, sweat and broccoli. The bits where they probably wanted to give up and go back to old, comfortably depressing habits!

It doesn’t show them learning how to change their diets or them explain to friends why they want to bring their own meal prepped food to lunch or them pushing through that tired feeling to get their butt to the gym when all they want to do is stay in bed, eat chocolate and watch Ru Paul!

Basically what I’m saying is that, in my humble opinion, the first step to achieving your goal is being realistic about what is needed in order to do so. For me it was time, dedication and honestly…help.

Once I accepted that I had been mistreating my body for years and that it wasn’t going to change over night, it put me on the right track. Another absolute game changer was meeting Vanessa because she shook me out of my comfort zone and held my hand round the big scary gym. 😆

She got me out my bed, told me I wasn’t tired and pushed me to see the joy in getting a “PB!” She is a constant motivation and inspiration.

So if you can, it could be a good idea to get a trainer, join a class, find a work out buddy, ask a friend for advice or do all of that stuff! Whatever you do, it is better than nothing. Just accept that you are in it for the long game and you are already winning baby!

Small steps in the right direction are better than staying put right? Have patience and we will do it!!!” ❤️😘
