Hey Guys, I hope you’ve all had a fabulous week 🙂

This week I’m going to be talking about how to keep up momentum with training over December and how to stay motivated now it’s getting darker earlier outside and the weather is grim!

1) Train in the morning

Yes, earlier morning starts mean it’s dark out, it’s cold and your bed seems a lot more appealing than the inside of a gym. But if you get into a habit of getting your workout done first thing, it’ll set you up right for the day!
You’ll feel so much better for it and it means you can go straight home after work, instead of having the inevitable argument with yourself about whether or not you should go to the gym after a busy day at work!

2) Try something new!

Changes things up this December to make training sessions more appealing. Whether you decide to start going to a new class, start training with a friend or a trainer. Or you decide to start implementing home workouts in your routine! This will help give you an extra boost of motivation to carry on working hard throughout December!

3) Set a goal to MAINTAIN over December.

The reality is NO ONE is going to be in a calorie deficit in December, and that’s okay! Make it your goal to maintain your current strength and weight thoughout December by continuing to train and eat well, but enjoy your Christmas nights out and meals out without over indulging.

4) Plan your week ahead

It’s corny but fail to prepare, prepare to fail! You’re less lightly to grab crappy foods, if you’ve meal prepped for the week! Also set aside double the amount of training sessions you plan to do in your week. This leaves room for illness, having to work late or other barriers that could stop you getting to the gym!⁣⁣⁣

Hopefully these tips will help you guys stay on track thoughout December, ready to hit the ground running in January!
